Addition and compatibility:
Sodium Pyrithione is stable under normal environmental conditions if stored in closed, dark containers. At 1000C it is stable for 24 hours. In the light or in contact with weak oxidizing agents sodium Pyrithione is converted to the disulfide; 2,2 ?pyridyl-N-oxide disulfide. With stronger oxidizing agents or in alkaline solution the substance is converted via a number of intermediatesto the sulfonic acid.
