Kopthione40% FPS is a stable extremely low particle size aqueous dispersion of Zinc Pyrithione for the complete protection of all types of paints and coatings from all types of microbial attack. Kopthione 40% FPS has broad spectrum of efficacy against algae, bacteria and fungi.

Application
Kopthione 40% FPS is highly recommended for the protection against fungal attack on interior coating and paints.
For complete control of algae on exterior painted surfaces and facades use of Diuron along with Kopthione 40% FPS is highly recommended.
Kopthione 40% FPS offers good wet state protection against bacterial spoilage , however it is advised to carry in house experiments to rule out use of additional in-can preservative.
Dosage
Optimum use concentrations will depend on the required properties. Normal addition levels are in the range 1 to 2.5%

Addition and compatibility:
For optimum and uniform mixing Kopthione 40% FPS should be added during the early stages of production preparation preferably after the addition of all extenders of the paint recipe. It is compatible with most formulations in which its application is recommended. However, users are advised to carry out with their own tests.
